Summer Adventure #2

I spent the first two weeks of summer vacation taking a course – so now summer vacation can start! I am off to today with my friend Tricia to Frankenmuth . I go there every year but I go in March when it is quite chilly! It will be nice to go when everything is open and I don’t have to wear a winter coat!! Of course we will be hitting Bronner’s , which is the world’s largest Christmas store! Their biggest sale is in March so I won’t be getting as many deals there but that is okay – I don’t NEED any Christmas stuff.

Back from Utah

Home for a week and I wish I was back on the road. It’s great to be with Jenn again, and I like my work, but it just doesn’t compare (that is, work doesn’t compare – Jenn does!) to riding your motorcycle across the US. Some pictures are on Facebook, and maybe I’ll upload some more to Flickr, or just link to other’s better pictures!

School’s Out!!

School is out for summer!!! FINALLY!!! Seems the end was dragging quite a bit but I am thankful it was cool until the last week as it gets so hot in the room! Still working on summer plans but relaxing is on the top of the list!

Random

-8 2/3 days left of school
- went for a drive through Amish country yesterday – not – buggies but saw a nice looking picnic and another volleyball game
- house cleaned with my Mom on the weekend – I still have a few disasters to tackle (closets)
- I passed all of my courses this term – I am now a Reading Specialist!
- It’s Doors Open Fergus/Elora this coming Saturday

Dogs

I was dogsitting this weekend (I love Molly and McGiver). Anyway, what is it with people having their dogs in the front yard, NOT ON LEASHES and chasing us down the street! Grrrr!!!

Weird

So I watched bits of three movies today… some were Hallmark, made for TV movies and the other was a mainstream movie on TV. Anyway, all three movies had actors from Corner Gas! How weird…

Long Weekends

Gotta’ love long weekends!!! Spent some time at my parents eating real food and apple pie!! Ooh… I got into the Mentalist as well – just in time for the finale this week. Yesterday, Niagara on the Lake and Niagara Falls were on the agenda. I finally got myself a summer hat too!!! Dinner at the Rainforest Cafe was great and I forced myself to try something new. (Usually get the Rasta Pasta and had Chicken, Fried Chicken instead). Today I think I will do some homework (Reading course) and then hit the Elora sidewalk sale! Happy long weekend!! Oh and to you U.S. cousins, your long weekend is coming!
